Supporting evidence is cited and verifiable

In addition to meeting Proficient requirements:

Supporting facts are strong and unique

Facts are cited as being cross-verifiable to multiple sources

Critical Thinking (25%)

Lacks conclusions or conclusions are unclearly stated

Conclusions do not logically follow from supporting evidence

16 - - - - 19 - - - - 22

Contains clear conclusions on the following topics:

  • Was the draft a good idea?
  • Who was the enemy?
  • Were military strategies in Vietnam effective?
  • What were military people and the public willing to sacrifice?
  • What was the cost of the Vietnam War?

Conclusions logically follow from supporting evidence

Presentation & Communication (25%)

Communication techniques adhere to standard norms of English
