I got into instructional design to help educators bridge the gap of understanding between the content they were delivering and their students. Using what I understand of graphic design and good pedagogy, I try to blend the two into meaningful projects that students will benefit from.

The examples below are some of the interactive pieces created for faculty to use in their classroom. Many, if not all, were experiments in trying something new for faculty to add to their lessons. The results have been positive and I continue to work with faculty and various interactive projects to be added when they are complete.

The bulk of the content was built and will run in Adobe Flash.

DELEGATION & PRIORITIZATION
Adobe Captivate
Western Carolina University
School of Nursing

A faculty member wanted to post a learning module/content that was different than just her normal powerpoint slides. Working on a tight deadline, we created the following from her notes. Each sectino has review questions that follow it. General feedback was very positive from students.

DISASTER MANAGEMENT
Adobe Flash
Western Carolina University
School of Nursing

With the success of the above module, I decided to use FLASH instead to create richer animations and flow with content. That of course resulted in longer work hours. A review was meant to be included in the module, but time ran out. Feedback was really good with the only complaint being that there needed to be more explosions.

OUTLOOK INTERACTIVE SIMULATIONS
Adobe Captivate
Lone Star College - Kingwood
CIT Department

Teaming up with a subject matter expert from the Intro to Computers course at Lone Star College Kingwood, I helped create a series of interactive simulations on how to use Microsoft Outlook 2007. Since students did not have access to the actual software, but were being tested on it for the course, we used Captivate to create a series of software simulations they could interact with.
